LAHORE – A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court against the appointment of Siddique ul Farooq Chairman Evacuee Trust Board Property (ETBP).
A local Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi has filed a petition in LHC taking the plea that under the constitution a man can hold a public office till 60 years of age and on the other hand Siddique ul Farooq has been appointed Chairman ETBP in the age of 71 that is a clear violation of Article 260 of the constitution.
The petitioner submitted that court should declare the appointment null and void being contrary to the law of the country.-Online
