KARACHI – Sindh education department has decided to extend the summer vacations till July 31, stirring joy among the school going kids.
The Education Secretary Alia Shahid has finalised the summary for the extension of summer vacations and will be sent to caretaker Chief Minister Fazlur Rehman for the approval.
According to the education secretary, reasons behind the extension pertain to the ongoing election activities and public school teachers’ engagement in the upcoming polls, reported local media.
The Sindh Government had announced summer holidays early on May 14 to July 16. The early announcement was owed to the heatwave and holy month of Ramadan to give relief to students.
