Curbs against militancy apolitical: Corps Commanders

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – The Corps Commanders Conference on Tuesday said the ongoing war against terrorists and criminal elements is purely apolitical and completely focused on the restoration of peace in the country.

The conference, according to the twitter feed of DG ISPR Major-General Asim Saleem Bajwa, seriously took notice of Indian intelligence agency’s involvement in Pakistan to fan the fire of terrorism.

The commanders also took a serious notice of Indian spy agency RAW’s involvement in whipping up terrorism in Pakistan.

This was the first time in recent years that the commanders publicly alleged Indian hand behind unrest in Pakistan.

The corps commanders agreed to take the war against terrorism to a logical conclusion to restore the honor and dignity of the state and its people. Armed forces of Pakistan will safeguard the nation against all types of dangers, it declared.

The statement further added that military operation in tribal areas, Zarb-e-Azb, was started with the full support from public and has inflicted excessive damage to the terrorists. Terrorism free Pakistan is our national resolve now, it read.

The conference concluded the push against militancy will be continued throughout the country to attain the goal of peaceful Pakistan.
