SHENZHEN – Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is all set to launch Mate 20 series – Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 Porsche Design – on October 16 in London.
The Mate 20 Pro’s most of the key specifications, features and design have already revealed, however, the Mate 20 has remained overshadowed by its more premium sibling in more than one way.
Recently, a German website, WinFuture, has revealed the official press images of upcoming Mate 20, which shows that Huawei has replaced the Mate 20 Pro’s wide notch with a smaller water-drop style notch.
The new images also suggest that the company will launch regular Mate 20 without 3D face sensing technology as on the Pro model.
According to the report, the new smartphone will feature a 6.43-inch display with 1080 x 2244 pixels resolution that is slightly bigger than the Mate 20 Pro display size – 6.3-inch curved panel.
Another easy to spot the difference is the camera alignment on the back. While the Mate 20 Pro has the LED flash in the top left corner, the regular model has it in the top right corner of the square-shaped triple camera setup.
Huawei must have done it to make it easier for consumers to set those two apart.
