Two robbers gunned down in Kasur

KASUR – At least two dacoits were killed in an alleged encounter with police within the jurisdiction of Allahabad police station early on Monday.

Detailing the incident, District Police Officer Kasur said police asked three motorcyclists to stop at a check post at the Dipalpur Road but they did not comply with the instruction.

A police mobile then followed them and bordered them near Jallo More, where the motorcyclists opened fire at police. Police retaliated as a result two dacoits were killed.

According to the police, the suspects killed in shootout have been identified as Ashiq aka Ashki and Fiyaz alias Fiyazi. Police have recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from them. The deceased were wanted in over 45 cases.

Four other robbers managed to flee however, police have cordoned off the area and started search operation.
