‘Uninterrupted gas supply to industries will create more jobs’

FAISALABAD (Staff Report) – All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Punjab Zone chairman Amir Fiaz has said that more than 15 million people will get jobs in the coming five years if industrial sector gets uninterrupted gas supply.

He said that textile exports would hit $26 billion in the coming five years given that gas supply is ensured. Pakistan’s textile exports stand at $13 billion for now.

APTMA’s chief said that the sector was severely affected by the gas outages. He also urged Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for taking steps to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to induries.
