KARACHI – Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) politician Saleem Shahzad has revealed that MQM’s Javed Langra is fostering a terror network in Pakistan while residing in India.
Shahzad who was arrested from Karachi airport on his arrival from Dubai after 10 years, on Tuesday made revelations during interrogation before police officials that the militant wing of MQM received training from India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
He went on to claim that RAW had been facilitating and funding terrorism in Karachi.
Meanwhile, SSP Malir Rao Anwar has stated that a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) will be formed to investigate the matter further regarding which a letter will also be sent to the Interior ministry.
Saleem Shahzad, a former member of MQM, had landed in Karachi ending his self-exile on Monday. He was arrested shortly after landing and was shifted to Gaddap police station for further interrogation.
Political analysts opine that Saleem’s entry in Pakistani politics is something of extraordinary importance and it was not a run of the mill development, However Saleem has yet to announce his political strategy.
