BANNU – At least two police officials were left injured in an explosion at police station Mandan in Bannu in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to the details, a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the entrance gate of the police station. The blast was of intense nature. The injured police officials were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The blast left main gate of the police station completely destroyed while the building faced partial damage. According to preliminary reports, a boy around 20 years of age was the assailant who was gunned down.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. A case has been registered by the local authorities.
