ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded details of fees paid to lawyers who are representing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in the Panama case.
PTI leader Andleeb Abbas has written a letter to principal secretary of the prime minister inquiring about the source of expenses spent for the case.
The letter states that the details of fees payment to lawyers should be provided under the law. It further added that public money is being spent to defend a family. She also highlighted the issues regarding misuse of state resources by ministers in the letter.
A five-member bench of Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa is hearing a slew of petitions in Panama case on a daily basis. The case has been adjourned till Monday.
