KARACHI (Web Desk) – Two terrorists including a key commander of banned Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been apprehended in search operations by Rangers in Karachi.
On a tip-off, Rangers conducted search operations in Bilal colony and Liaquatabad here and arrested banned TTP commander Syed Noor Hussain and terrorist Asif Khan. Rangers have recovered Jihadi literature and huge cache of weapons from Syed Noor Hussain. .
According to Rangers spokesperson Syed Noor Hussain is affiliated with banned TTP and a political party. He was wanted to police in cases of extortion, target killing and other street crimes, while Asif Khan belonged to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Asif Khan had confessed before the interrogation team for killing 8 persons and setting ablaze 8 buses. Asif Khan had visited India twice and got terrorism related training therein.
Meanwhile, Anti-terrorism court in Karachi has remanded the accused Asif Khan and Syed Noor Hussain to Rangers custody for 90 days.
