LAHORE (Web Desk) – Former captain of Pakistan Cricket team, right-handed opening batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler Mohammad Hafeez was ruled out of the World Cup 2015 following a knee injury, whereas Nasir Jamshed replaced him, local media reported on Sunday.
According to sources, the team management and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shaharyar Khan have approved the name of left hand batsman Nasir Jamshed for World Cup squad.
As per details, the former national team captain had sustained an injury just before the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) warm-up match. After a medical examination, team doctors advised Hafeez to take at least three-week rest.
Earlier, paceman Junaid Khan was sent to home after failing to pass a fitness test due to thigh injury. He has been replaced by Rahat Ali.
