QUETTA (Staff Report) – Shahbaz Taseer has been recovered from a restive area of Balochistan after five years of his kidnapping from Lahore.
Taseer, the son of slain governor Salmaan Taseer, was recovered by the security agencies from Kachlak region of Balochistan after a successful operation, sources said.
Shahbaz Taseer was kidnapped on August 26 in 2011 from Gulberg area of Punjab capital city Lahore.
Taseer has been recovered with the help of secret agencies, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to media reports a hotel owner make a statement on camera, a shabby looking man wearing grey shalwar kameezcame to his hotel and ordered some food, paid his bill and requested to use the owner’s phone which was not granted.
The man was then told to use the phone outside, which he did and a short while later was picked up by FC personnel. That man was Shahbaz Taseer, the hotel owner claimed.
