ISLAMABAD – Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will arrange a variety of programs of students’ interest at the three-day literature festival (carnival), scheduled to begin here on Friday.
The admission for participation in the event will be free and open.
The programs include Grand Mushaira, Dastan Goi, and speeches Bait Bazi. There will be a number of books’ stalls and education-related activities to promote literature and academic research.
The carnival will be formally inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui.
During the festival, round-table and panel discussion will also be arranged to project English and Urdu literature for the interest of the students and researchers.
Various departments of the AIOU including Faculty of Education, Sciences, Social Sciences and Islamic Studies will brief the visiting students about the new academic programs.
