LAHORE – The Federal Investigation Agency has nabbed a man for allegedly harassing a women on social media during a raid in Lahore late Wednesday night.
The raid was carried out after the victim lodged a complaint with the FIA stating that the suspect was blackmailing and threatening her to damage her reputations through the social media.
The officials also recovered some material from the suspect’s possession that substantiates the allegations levelled by the woman.
Under the cybercrime, the FIA, in April, also apprehended a man for blackmailing girls after befriending them on Facebook.
The cyber crime wing of the agency received an application from a resident of Lahore’s Iqbal Town, stating that she became friends with a man named Zubair on Facebook and he saved photos and videos of her and doctored them to make them obscene.
Following the complaint, the police conducted raid and arrested the suspect.
