ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter) – World Bank President Jim Yong Kim on called on the prime minister in Islamabad where the two discussed the various areas where Pakistan and the World Bank are engaged in cooperation.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif told the World Bank president that his government wants to provide an environment conducive for private sector development, adding that it is not the job of governments to run businesses.
World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said Pakistan is well poised to become the next fast growing successful economy due to the steps taken by the government over the past few years.
He appreciated the steps undertaken by the present government improve business climate.
