Health Minister advises Pakistani citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to Philippines

LAHORE – Federal Health Minister Aamer Mehmood Kiani, on Saturday, has directed airport authorities to monitor all international flights from measles affected countries.

The Federal Health Minister has also made the health staff ‘high alert’ at all inter-provincial airports in view of the measles outbreak in Philippines.

He has also directed the health staff to take all protective steps in this regard.

The Minister has also advised Pakistani citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to the Philippines.

An outbreak of measles is spreading across the Philippines as more than 1,500 measles cases and more than 25 deaths have been reported in recent weeks.
