Anti-terrorism operation improved economic climate in Pakistan: Jilani

WASHINGTON (Staff Report) – Pakistani Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that economic reforms and decisive steps taken by the government against terrorists have resulted in a better security environment and improved economic climate in Pakistan.

Addressing the Convention of Pakistani Physicians in Florida, he said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring about economic prosperity to the whole region.

All regional countries should welcome CPEC and encourage projects under it, he said.

The ambassador also briefed the Pakistani community regarding actions taken by the government to counter terrorism, extremism and promote economic development.
