DUBAI – A lucky Pakistani woman became a millionaire overnight after she won the $1 million (Dh3.6 million) jackpot in the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire draw.
Lamia Mustafa, a 34-year-old housewife who traces her origin to Karachi, bought her second Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire ticket online from a retailer terminal of Dubai international airport.
Her ticket number, 4912 earned him Rs 110 million PKR as the organisers announced the winners at Concourse D in Terminal 1 of the Airport. Interestingly, the digits were based on her husband’s birth date.
‘I am very happy at the moment and I was sure that I would win this lucky draw”, expressed the overjoyed lady.
Besides the woman, who is a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire, an Indian national, Arun Bhaskaran Pillai, was also among the winners.
Founded in 1983, Dubai Duty-Free has grown into one of the biggest travel retail operator in the world.
