DUBAI (Staff Report) – Local court Monday granted bail to famous Pakistani TV anchor Dr.Moeed Pirzada who was arrested in United Arab Emirate on August 4, Samaa TV reported quoting Pakistan Embassy in UAE.
Pirzada was arrested by Abu Dhabi police allegedly for getting thumbprints of his ailing father on documents at a hospital.
Sources in Pakistan embassy said Pirzada has been released by UAE authorities on bail, adding that he might be allowed to leave UAE in couple of days.
Earlier Pakistani foreign office confirmed that Moeed Pirzada and one of his sisters have been arrested by UAE authorities. Few social media accounts claimed that he was found involved in infringement of property papers.
