PM Nawaz leaves for two-day Qatar tour

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Wednesday morning left for Qatar on a two day official visit.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet the leadership of Qatar besides other important Qatri cabinet ministers. The two sides would also hold wide-ranging delegation level talks.

A high-level delegation, including Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sohail Aman, is also accompany the Prime Minister.

A number of MoUs in the field of health, radio and television, education and research and a long- term Sale/Purchase Agreement  of Liquefied Natural Gas would be concluded by the both sides.

The main focus of the Prime Minister’s visit and interaction with the Qatari leadership will be on enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields. These include energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and increase in employment opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Qatar.

Both leaders would also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The visit is on the invitation of Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
