KARACHI – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned fast bowler Muhammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hassan for an investigation regarding spot fixing scandal that emerged during Paskistan Super League (PSL) 2017.
The Anti-Corruption Unit of PCB asked both cricketers to appear before the authorities on Monday and Tuesday next week.
Both the cricketers were also in hot water during the PSL tournament after PCB suspended Islamabad United duo Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif over spot-fixing charges.
The two cricketers will be questioned for their alleged contact with the bookies.
PCB Chairman Shaharyar said, “Everything is in our hands. We will decide the case and we will hand out the punishments.”
