JAIPUR – Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh last week visited army camps close to Pak-border in Munabao region to witness the enthusiasm of the troops on the front lines amid tensions with Pakistan. However, he landed into trouble when the soldiers opened a list of complaints for him.
Lahore-based Daily Dunya newspaper reported that Indian soldiers deployed at the Pak-border told the minister that no clean water and clothes were available for them.
“…due to continuously wearing the camouflage uniform they are adhering to skin diseases…,” the newspaper went on to say while describing the circumstances faced by Indian troops on border.
Meanwhile, Bhartia Janta Party’s (BJP) ruling partners Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has also lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dramatizing the surgical strikes for his political gains.
She also announced that next year her party will contest elections in three states of India of without any kind of support by the BJP or Narendra Modi.
It is also worth mentioning here that Indian government has asked the states bordering with Pakistan to make arrangements to completely seal the border with Pakistan by 2018.
