KPK Accountability Commission chief resigned over Imran s deceiving policy: Pervez Rasheed

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Federal  Minister for Information Pervez Rasheed has said the Director General Accountability Commission of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa resigned against PTI chief Imran Khan’s strategy of deceiving the people of KPK in the name of accountability.

Talking to newsmen after attending a ceremony linked to Iran’s National Day in Islamabad, he said the Justice (Retd) Wajeeh-ud-Din had parted ways from PTI because Imran Khan was supporting those who had committed rigging in intra party elections.

He further said the Accountability Bureau in Islamabad is working effectively, independently and without any discrimination to achieve good results.

Earlier addressing the ceremony, the minister said that Pakistan has always valued its relations with Iran and considered it a close friend and a neighbour.

The canvass of our bilateral relations is wide ranging, encompassing political, trade, economic, and people to people contacts, he said.

The Minister also disclosed that in a bid to facilitate the citizens two new border crossing points between both countries would be opened soon.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Iran Mehdi Honardoost said his country wants to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic ties with Pakistan.
