MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s star cricketer Shahid Afridi, also known as Boom Boom Afridi, has refused an offer to become part of Indian dance show ‘Nach Baliye 7’that starts this April, India’s leading newspaper Mumbai Mirror reported.
Afridi, according to the details, raised his concerns over the format of the dance show that involves couples to rock the floor.
“Shahid was ready for a solo act but when told that his wife and he would have to dance together, he was taken aback,” a source was quoted in the report as saying.
“He categorically told us that he doesn’t want the whole world to see his wife dancing. He turned down the offer saying, ‘Biwi ko nahin nachana hai!’ Nobody could argue with that as it’s a personal call,” the source added.
Nach Baliye is a popular dance reality show about 10 real life celebrity couples competing for the trophy.
Afridi is not the only Pakistani cricketer approached by the show to break into his dance moves. Earlier, Shoaib Malik and wife Sania Mirza rocked the dance floor in Nach Baliye 5.
