PM Nawaz inaugrates Punjab Police Digital System

LAHORE – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday inaugurated Punjab Police Digital System in Lahore today.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Prime Minister said that he wished uninterrupted reforms in public institutions which have been deteriorated due to negligence.

The digital system focuses on making liaison among all police stations for the exchange of information regarding culprits. The FIR lodging system has also been made computerised under new reforms.

The PM said that new system will help review the performance of stations located in remote areas, besides settling the concerns showed by the general public on discriminative behaviour in the police stations.

He said it was his government’s target and priority to provide an effective, efficient and public-friendly police force equipped with sate-of-the-art technology to face modern day challenges.

He also extended congratulation to Pakistan Super League (PSL) chariman Najam Sethi on holding the final match in Lahore successfully.

On arrival, he was given a guard of honour by police before the ceremony.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq were present on the occasion. Furthermore, IG Punjab Police and Governor Punjab were also accompanying the premier.
