Rangers say MQM s propaganda about extrajudicial killing of party workers is baseless

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Sindh Rangers on Friday dismissed the allegations hurled by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) that paramilitary force extra-judicially killed four of their party workers .

In a statement the spokesperson said such propaganda against Rangers is completely baseless and contrary to facts.

He further alleged that MQM’s workers were hiding in ‘safe houses’ upon directions of top leadership. The culprits targeted last night were involved in murder of a lawyer, he explained.

“MQM leadership has asked all of their workers involved in criminal activities to go in hiding however Rangers still managed to arrest Asif Ali, who was involved in murder of MQM worker Waqas Shah during the Nine-Zero raid, from Shahdadpur,” the statement added.

Rangers also reiterated that Karachi Operation will continue till the end of targeted killing in port city.

Earlier MQM blamed Sindh Rangers for murdering party workers in hoax encounters. Three of the killed workers have been identified as Mohammad Adeel, Zohaib and Kashif, according to party’s statement.
