Seven recovered dead from pickle factory tank in Karachi, say police

KARACHI (Staff Report) – As many as seven labourers died after falling in a chemical tank at a pickle factory in Korangi area, local media reported on Sunday.

DIG East Munir Shiekh has confirmed recovery of bodies from the tank. The factory is located in Allah Wala town near Korangi crossing.

According to media reports, the factory owner, Mehtab, fell in the tank full of chemical and died within few minutes. The labourers at the factory, Sohail, Imran, Nawaz and Adnan tried to save him but followed his fate.

Their bodies have been moved to Jinnah Hospital morgue.
