Model Town tragedy: Court releases all accused

LAHORE –  On Wednesday an anti-terrorism court ordered the release of all accused persons involved in Model Town carnage in which 14 worker of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were killed and over 100 people injured.

The court issued the orders while hearing the case of the massacre. The court also granted bail to Inspector Amir Saleem and four other troops of Elite Force.

On June 17, 2013, at least 14 workers of PAT were killed, while scores of others were injured in deadly police crackdown outside Minhajul Quran’s secretariat in Model town.
