LOS ANGELES (News Desk) - Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan was Friday detained and questioned by the US immigration officials at Los Angeles airport for the third time in last seven years.

After the authorities allowed Khan to walk away, he reacted to the incident saying: "I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks."

He further added "The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons."

The news of his detention in the United States sparked an outrage among his fans in India and the Indian media questioned why the actor was being detained again and again for no considerable reason.

This also pushed US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal to express a regret. She tweeted: "Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk - even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!"

US Ambassador to India Rich Verma also tweeted:

It is also worth mentioning here that the Indian superstar was travelling along his daughter. He was previously detained by the US airport officials in 2012 and 2009.
