After Chanel, Victoria Beckham bans exotic skins

LAHORE – Victoria Beckham, 44, confirmed this week she would be following in the footsteps of Chanel by cutting exotic pelts from her eponymous fashion line from Fall 2019 onward in a bid to ‘reflect the wishes’ of her customers.

Chanel’s announcement that it’s kicking fur and exotic skins—including crocodile, lizard, and snake skin—to the curb was celebrated by the world recently. For decades, PETA has called on the brand to opt for cruelty-free fashion that no animal had to suffer and die for.

Victoria has created a safe environment for animals with her decision.

A spokesman for Victoria told WWD, “We are happy to confirm that we will cease using exotic skins in all future collections as of our main fall 2019 ready-to-wear presentation. This decision reflects the wishes of not only the brand, but also that of our customers.”
