PTI’s Rai Hassan Nawaz disqualified; re-election ordered in NA-162

MULTAN (Staff Report) – Disqualifying Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz Khan who stood victorious in NA-162, an Election tribunal in Multan on Tuesday ordered re-election in the said constituency.

Rai Hassan was found guilty of hiding his real assets from Election Commission of Pakistan.

His rival Muhammad Ayub Khan, an independent candidate, had filed a case against him alleging that Rai Nawaz did not declare his real assets to the ECP.

Rai Hassan stood victorious after bagging 88004 votes in 2013 general election, while his rival Muhammad Ayub Khan secured 75430 votes.
