KARACHI (Staff Report) – Senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Amin Faheem has been indicted in National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case along ten others, said media reports on Saturday.
The anti-terrorism court indicted Amin Fahim and Salman Ghani in the absence.
Other accused included Ayaz Khan Niazi, Amin Qasim Dada, Muhammad Zahoor, Zahid Hussain, Hur Rahi Gardezi, Naveed Hussain Zaidi, SM Iqbal, Amir Hussain and Khawaja Akbar Butt.
All the accused present during the hearing dismissed charges against them.
Suspects in the case are accused of purchasing 10 acres in Karachi’s Korangi area and selling it to the government at an inflated price which led to millions in losses to the national exchequer.
The court adjourned hearing till September 30 while summoning witnesses to record statements on next hearing.
