LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday left for London to bring back the body of his sister-in-law, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
The former chief minister of Punjab jet off to London via a foreign airline from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, died at the age of 68 on Tuesday in London, months after a cardiac arrest put her to Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The death of Kulsoom Nawaz was confirmed by her son Hassan and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz president, Shehbaz Sharif.

Former prime minister, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Muhammad Safdar, who are convicted in Avenfield case, were released on parole in the wee hours of Wednesday to attend the funeral of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

Her funeral prayers will be offered at Regent’s Park in London Thursday and her body will be brought back to Pakistan after fulfilling legal obligations on Friday. She will be buried alongside her father-in-law, Mian Muhammad Sharif, at Jati Umra.
Nawaz Sharif’s two sons, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, may not come to attend burial ceremony of their mother Kulsoom Nawaz in Pakistan, a private news channel reported here on Tuesday.

According to details, Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz are facing legal complications due to their cases in Pakistan.
