KARACHI – The newly elected members of the Sindh Assembly took the oath of their office on Monday.
Former Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani administered the oath to the lawmakers-elect in Urdu, English and Sindhi language.
The Sindh Assembly is dominated by Pakistan Peoples Party which has 97 lawmakers in the House and would form the government with Murad Ali Shah as the Chief Minister.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is the second largest party in the provincial assembly with 30 seats.
The elections for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the provincial assembly would be held on Wednesday.
Pakistan Peoples Party has nominated Agha Siraj Durrani for Speakership while Rehana Leghari has been pitched to be the next Deputy Speaker. The candidates are expected to take charge after the secret balloting.
