KHANEWAL – A funny game turned deadly for a six-grade student of Punjab during a school competition in Mian Channu tehsil last week.
The teachers of Khanewal Government High School 115-L had conducted a slapping competition on April 4; during the recess, a ‘Kabbadi’ match was organized between two students, Bilal and Amir.
A video footage shows Bilal falling down to the ground after losing his conscious soon after his opponent pounded him with powerful slaps.
Tragically, the headmaster and teachers of school first did not take the incident seriously, denying medical treatment to the 10-year-old. Later rescuers were called, but it was too late by then and the boy had died.
Bilal’s body was later sent home 45 minutes after his tragic death.
