Irrfan Khan returns to Mumbai mid-treatment for Hindi Medium sequel

MUMBAI – Bollywood acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with high-grade cancer in 2018, following which the star moved to London for treatment.

Irrfan had flown abroad soon after the news of cancer emerged and only visited India during the festival of Diwali. But recently it was revealed that the actor is now back in India. Right now, the actor is in Mumbai for his treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, as reported by Peepingmoon.

The publication also added that Irrfan will be visiting his hometown, which is situated outside Jaipur as soon as he feels better. While the actor was in London, he took to Instagram to share heartfelt poetry with his fans.

His posts got a lot of attention from fans who sent him well-wishes through social media and prayed for his recovery.

Also, it is still not confirmed whether the actor will be returning to work and start shooting for Hindi Medium 2, a sequel to his 2017 comedy drama.

Irrfan, who has delivered outstanding performances in films such as Paan Singh Tomar, Haasil, Maqbool and Piku, has also established himself in the West with movies like The Namesake, Life of Pi and Jurassic World. The actor was last seen in film Karwaan directed by Akarsh Khurana. The movie also saw Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar in significant roles.
