MUMBAI – Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s only son Ayaan has succeeded in his five-year fight with cancer.
The Bollywood actor shared pictures of Ayaan and himself on his Twitter account and said, “Today, five years after his diagnosis Ayaan has been declared cancer free. It has been quite a journey. Thank you for all your prayers and wishes. Love and prayers for all the cancer fighters out there, hope and belief go a long way. You can WIN this battle !!! #thekissoflife”.

Ayaan was diagnosed with first stage cancer at the age of four in 2014. In 2016, the 39-year-old released a book titled ‘The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer which is based on the physical pain of the then six-year-old Ayaan and the emotional trauma of his parents.
Through the book, Emraan tried his best to provide comfort and guidance to those whose loved ones are battling cancer or any other critical illness. Sources had revealed that the actor, apart from detailing his own personal and emotional struggles, has been taking guidance from his son’s pediatrician.

On the work front, Emraan will be seen in Why Cheat India directed by Soumik Sen. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Emraan Hashmi
