Pakistan paid heavy price in war on terror: Interior Minister

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar on Thursday met with United States (US) ambassador David Hale. Expressing his views, Nisar said that baseless allegations made by US Congressmen on Pakistan could damage mutual interests as well relations between both the countries.

The minister also met Chinese Minister for Security and discussed security and intelligence related challenges regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both the leaders also agreed to enhance bilateral counterterrorism cooperation for regional stability.

He stated concerns regarding recent anti-Pakistan statements released by US representatives. During a meeting with David Hale, the Interior Minister stated that Pakistan had paid a heavy price the war against terror and that US parliamentarians did not recognise or admired Pakistan’s initiatives and sacrifices in the warfare.

Nisar said that cooperation with China was the most important strategic partnership in the 21st C. The very project will open new phases of Pak-China collaboration as well economic stability and boost for both the countries, Nisar added.

Pakistan will not allow its soil to be practiced against any other country, Nisar said.
