PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has notified changes in menu for inmates detained in prison facilities across the province.
The provincial government has issued a notification regarding amendments to the Prison Rules 2018. It said prisoners across the province will be provided with tea and parathas for breakfast. If a prisoner requests an alternative to tea, it will be provided.
For lunch on Mondays and Thursdays, prisoners will receive Gram pulse; on Tuesdays mung daal; on Wednesdays, they will have white chickpeas; on Saturdays, they will be served potato chicken; and on Sundays, they will get kidney beans.
Additionally, for dinner, prisoners will receive potato meat on Mondays, potato with eggs or vegetables on Tuesdays, vegetables on Wednesdays, meat pulao on Thursdays, mung rice on Fridays, vegetable halwa on Saturdays, and lentil dal on Sundays.
