Premier Li Qiang Terms China Pakistan Relations Exemplary

ISLAMABAD – Chinese Premier Li Qiang has termed relations between the neighbouring countries an exemplary model of bilateral state relations.

He made the remarks in his first message after arriving in Pakistan on a four-day official visit, which is the first by any Chinese premier after eleven years.

A red carpet welcome was accorded to the Chinese premier at Nur Khan Airbase where PM Shehbaz received him.

The Chinese premier expressed his happiness for visiting Pakistan at the invitation of his counterpart Shehbaz Sharif.

He said that as soon as he disembarked from the plane, he was warmly welcomed, adding that he was impressed by the deep brotherly friendship and hospitality of the Pakistani people.

“Pakistan is an important developing country, an emerging market, and a major Muslim nation, while also being all-weather strategic partner and iron friend of China.”

The visiting dignitary said the Chinese people have great affection and appreciation for people of Pakistan.

Over the 73 years, both countries have maintained steadfast trust and supported each other, he said.
