Imran Khan demands Karachi-like Rangers action in Punjab

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – PTI Chairman Imran Khan has called for a third-party audit of Nandipur Project.

Addressing a press conference at Bani Gala, he said that Nandipur project was a mega fraud and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was directly responsible.

“We will not accept Model Town-like investigation in Nandipur. There should also be a third-party audit,” he said.

“In Indian city of Ahmdabad, Metro project was three times cheaper than ours,” he claimed.

He expressed his party’s support for National Action Plan (NAP). Rangers are doing remarkable job in Karachi.

The nation is fed up of looters and corrupt people.

PPP and PMLN had done a muk-muka between them in the name of charter of democracy (CoD).

“It was decided in NAP that no militias will be allowed to operate. Some parties thought they’ll be exempted. “I don’t think that General Raheel Sharif will step back from the operation.”

The PTI chief said that MQM’s strike in Karachi failed because people were happy with the Rangers’ operation.

“I have toured Sindh recently. People are very happy with the targeted operation,” he said.

“I ask Rangers and agencies to launch a similar action in Punjab also, where corruption is rampant.

I have no problem even if they want to reign in corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said.

Khan noted that popularity level of General Raheel Sharif was touching skies.

“Who is bearing the expenses of PPP’s meetings in Dubai?

Why is the PPP doing meetings in Dubai?”

“Despite many challenges, we are moving ahead towards Naya Pakistan swiftly.

I feel proud due to local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We have devolved power to grassroots level.”

Khan said that he had expelled party’s candidate Javed Afridi over disciplinary issues.
