LAHORE – Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq stated that the Army does not intend to launch a coup against the government on Saturday.
Ayaz Sadiq was speaking to journalists in his hometown Dharampura where a journalist asked him if the government suspects that the Army will launch a coup, to which NA speaker responded that there is nothing of the sort, Geo News reported.
He termed the relations between the government and the Army as pleasant.
The NA speaker said that the Army is a part of the regime and the Army has acted an important role in establishing democracy in the country.
