KARACHI – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) took out a massive rally in the port city on Sunday to honour the martyrs of Karsaz, who were killed in a bomb attack on slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s homecoming rally nine years ago on October 18, 2007.
While addressing the rally, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari promised to free the masses from ‘Takh-i-Raiwind’ — a veiled reference to the ruling Sharif family.
“We are here to pay tribute to martyrs of the Karsaz attack,” he said and added that people had become so disappointed that the task of hunting a lion was given to a sportsman.
The rally commenced from Bilawal House at 11am and culminate at Karsaz after passing through MA Jinnah Road, Numaish Chowrangi and Shahrah-e-Qaideen.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari led the caravan and addressed his supporters.
