Druzhba Vii Pakistan Russia Joint Anti Terrorism Drills Kick Off In Pabbi

RAWALPINDI – Troops from Pakistan and Russian armies are holding joint anti-terrorism drills, Druzhba-VII, in Pabbi, said military’s media wing in a statement.

The two-week long exercise is being held at National Counter Terrorism Centre, Pabbi with Light Commando Troops of Pakistan Army and Russian Military contingent participating in it.

Commandant National Counter Terrorism Centre attended the opening ceremony of the exercise as Chief Guest.

The military exercise is aimed at refining professional skills through joint training besides harnessing the historic military to military relations among the friendly countries. Participating troops are looking forward to benefit from mutual expertise/ experience, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

Earlier, the USS O’ Kane of the US Navy recently docked in Karachi to conduct an important bilateral exercise with Pakistan Navy Ship BABUR in the North Arabian Sea. This collaboration aimed to enhance interoperability between the two navies and reaffirm their commitment to maintaining maritime peace in the region.

The exercise highlights the Pakistan Navy’s dedication to working alongside experienced global partners to uphold peace and order. Such collaborations are crucial in addressing regional challenges, including terrorism, piracy, drug trafficking, and human trafficking.
