Rs 50,000 fine imposed on Imran Khan in defamation case

KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on PTI chief Imram Khan for his failure to comply with the court orders in connection with a Rs 5 billion defamation suit filed by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

In 2013, MQM’s Farooq Sattar had filed the plea against Khan with the SHC for issuing statements against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Khan had alleged that Hussain was responsible for the killing of PTI Sindh senior vice president Zahra Shahid.
