PESHAWAR (Staff Reporter) – At least 15 people were reported killed and 28 others were injured after a blast occurred in a passenger bus near Sunehri Masjid Road on Wednesday morning.
According to initial reports, the blast was in a bus carrying employees of Civil Secretariat, government officials coming from Mardan.
Fear and panic spread among residents after the blast.
Rescue teams reached the attack site and started shifting injured to a nearby hospital.
Law enforcers have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Emergency has been imposed in the nearby hospital to deal with the untoward situation.
Police said the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted inside the bus.
