Army Chief challenges Indian army to reveal its casualties

ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif challenged Indian military to reveal its casualties, saying a total of 40 to 44 Indian soldiers have been killed at Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday.

“Pakistan Army killed 11 Indian troops the day seven Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom,” the army chief said during an informal conversation with journalists at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

He said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had understood that aggression along LoC was useless.

The COAS further said that the army had given excellent results in the defence of the country.

While responding a query about Balochistan, the army chief said that security forces have played a vital role in maintaining peace in the province.

He said that India’s surgical strike claim was limited only to mere words, adding that India had to face embarrassment over its own claims
