The Sohai Ali Abroo starrer, ‘Motorcycle Girl’ has already been making waves throughout the nation for the zeal and passion we have seen in it’s trailer and its music videos. Based on the real story of Zenith Irfan, the first Pakistani motorcyclist who traveled across the country solo, the film is a source of great inspiration for anyone who has ever been told that they should give something up.
In the film’s latest music video,’Pahiya’ which is sung by Faiza Mujahid, our protagonist is seen in a journey of self realization and learning that ultimately helps her achieve her goal. Made as an uplifting montage of our heroine’s doubts and fears subsiding as she surpasses all the naysayers and disbelievers, the track is an empowering anthem in its own right.
Here is the video itself;

There are many moments in the video that really speak out to women especially, who are all too familiar with being told to let something go just because they are women, however there are a few times in the video that really speak out for themselves.
That all too familiar struggle of using public transport is something we can all relate to;
That amazing moment when we see a brother cheering on for his sister;
That satisfying moment when our protagonist perseveres and is out on the road alone!
And the incredulous expressions from people around her, slowly taking in the fact that a woman is riding a bike;
And finally, this particular moment when our Motorcycle Girl reaches Khunjerab Pass and takes it all in;
