SHEIKHUPURA (Staff Report) – As many as seven terrorists were killed in an armed clash with a Counter Terrorism Department team near Shikarpur area of Sheikhupura, a statement said on Wednesday morning.
The clash took place on Tuesday night while around a dozen terrorists came across the security force personnel during checking process.
In exchange of firing, seven militants were killed however at least five of their accomplices successfully fled the site.
The killed terrorists have been identified as members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).
Following the incident, the law enforcement agencies began a search operation in the surrounding areas.
