MURREE – At least three tourists were wounded when a leopard attacked them in Murree, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, the injured were roaming on Guldana Mohra Shareef road when the beast appeared from the bushes and attacked them.
After the incident, rescue officials reached the spot and shifted the tourists to a nearby hospital. Now, the injured persons are out of danger.
The incident has sparked panic among the public in the area.
A variety of rare animal species can be found in Murree, including the leopard, which inhabits the neighbouring Galiyat region.
As the leopards are now starving after humans have invaded their habitat, the hungry leopards sometimes enter villages in search of food.
